If you have taken a peep at my about me page, then you’ll probably know I love working with local businesses and hidden talent. I think it’s so important to support good quality products, especially when it can help out your community. I had the amazing opportunity to meet the Pepper & Pink team, who were so kind to let me review their products. Before I go on to talk about the hand soaps, I have to say they are brilliant people. The things they are doing are actually amazing. They have their own manufacturers, their own products and it’s all natural ingredients. If anything is included that is not natural due to reasons they couldn’t create it, they mention it on their products.
You can find them at any of the TJX locations; Winners, Homesense etc. I tried out two soap bottles, and one soap refill bottle. The first one is a glass bottle with a mixed scent of Lavender, White Tea & Ginger. I actually love eating ginger candy, so I don’t mind the more savory smell of this soap. I have really really dry skin in winter times, and I also wash my hands a lot (I’m a bit of a germaphobe) so what I do like is that these soaps don’t make me feel dry after use. It’s also a smooth rub and has more of a gel like consistency.
The scent I didn’t really like was this second one, which is a mix of Rosemary, Mint & Mango. Although I could eat mango any day of my life, the two stronger scents of mint and rosemary kind of make this a bit much for me. If you don’t like fruity scents, then I recommend going for this one. This is also a glass bottle, so they make for really nice gifts. Christmas is a mere 8 days away. I actually really like their packaging too and the fun pastel colors. It draws me more to the products, as I know what happens to me in stores. Always the shiny or the pretty looking things.
Last but not least, my favorite one was the Sage, Grapefruit & Starfruit scent. This is a re-fill bottle so it comes in a plastic container. I am currently using this in my washroom upstairs as I conveniently ran out of my old hand soap. Like I mentioned earlier, their ingredients make for a great purchase especially if you truly care about what goes into the beauty products you use. They have organic and essential oils in their soaps, plus natural fruit extracts, which is also why the scents are very real.
Hope you guys get to try these products out, or check out their website for all the other offerings they have. I got a cold this morning, quiet possibly from rolling around without tights under my skirt. So I’m going to go blow my nose and wash my hands with this pretty smelling soap. Stay warm out there.
