To Try Or Not To Try

Hope you guys had a fabulous weekend! Ours was supposed to be completely empty, no plans and as always every day got booked up. Nonetheless, I am feeling productive because I got a lot done, but now I just need to sort out my shoe closet and throw/sell some stuff.

So this Marc Jacobs coconut spray was given to me by my bff and I have to say it’s pretty basic. She told me it wasn’t that great and I still continued to use it. I don’t think it kept my makeup from moving to be honest. I had a lot of issues around the concealer area because it was always runny, no good for eyes either. The only thing it’s good for is the coconut scent, so in my opinion don’t get it for the purpose of setting your makeup.

Another product that was super disappointing to me was this Saje breath freshener. It literally doesn’t freshen your breath. You spray it in your mouth and basically swallow the sweet flavour, and bam it’s gone. There’s no lingering taste, nothing that makes your mouth feel or smell fresh. It’s unfortunate because this was one of the first items I every got from them and didn’t understand why people were so obsessed with the brand.

I get a bit bumpy on my skin, as in bit of texture. If you put foundation on you can see the little dots if I don’t exfoliate. Something I learnt late in life, and thanks again to my bestie I bought this Ole Henriksen Transforming Walnut Scrub on her recommendation and I used it every other day and I swear by it. No bumps, it smooths your face out immediately and makes you feel so soft. Highly recommend it if you are looking for a good exfoliator.

So if the freshener was bad, this peppermint oil for headaches was God sent. I finally understood why people were so obsessed with Saje. I have been getting random headaches a lot, especially during that time of the month and since I hate popping pills this became my go to. I rub it on my temples and at the nape of my neck, quickly massage it in and it’s like magic. The scent is strong if you are sensitive to that, like my husband who finds that he gets more of a headache because of peppermint but I love it. It’s cooling, and works. I do find that my eyes get itchy and watery if I use too much so you do have to be cautious with the amount you use. But other than that it’s amazing.

Hope my thoughts help you guys with some of these products if you haven’t tried.

XO
